Steve McBride has lived his life as an artist since his teenage years- first as a drummer and percussionist and within the last decade as a landscape artist, first in pastels and moving into oils and acrylics. Steve is best described as a Fauvist- known for painterly qualities and strong color over the representational or realistic values retained by Impressionism.
He gets his inspiration from the Colorado Rockies and the Southwest, translating what he sees and feels.
Steve is primarily self-taught, and has studied with Ken Elliott and Casey Klahn.
